Community Acupuncture

The NADA protocol is perfect for a group setting as it does not require any personal information. It’s a one-size-fits-all treatment. There is a point for each of the five systems of the body and when needled all together its a whole body/mind tune up, rebalance and adjustment. The protocol was developed in a NYC drug addiction centre and is used widely to treat PTSD in veterans, survivors of natural disasters and other heart stopping traumas.

I honed my NADA skills whilst traveling with Acupuncturists Without Borders in Nepal. We were treating monks and nuns living in various monasteries, many who had left China under duress and traveled over the mountains to Nepal on foot, a rather harrowing traumatic experience.

Its an elegant tool to help in the healing of those who have suffered profound trauma as well as life’s ordinary disappointments and frustrations. So basically, its beneficial for everyone. This treatment is gentle yet powerful enough to work along the whole spectrum of stress. It produces a deeply relaxed state, which allows for healing to begin or continue and helps to reset, ground, clear and support a person who is experiencing stress.

During community acupuncture you sit in a chair in the same room with others, the needles go in and everyone rests quietly from 20 -40 minutes.  The shared experience seems to magnify the effect and reduce the cost. Its a win win!

Sessions are suspended at the moment. If you'd like to be added to the email list for any notifications regarding community sessions, please send me your email address and I will add it.
